2:17am and writing

So, I just got home from Mullen's and had a friend meet me down there for soda's. (not a code word...we really just drank Pepsi) and we sat and (sorry just got interrupted because my dog Zeus had to go out and make a dookie) just talked about life and him moving back to Pittsburgh etc.
We had UFC tonight which usually is really busy and packed, but because of the meteorologists in the city, we were slower then usual. Freezing temperatures and 6 - 8 inches of snow.

If you read my earlier blogs you would know about my day today. Fun, cold, snowing in the mountains, crazy drive to get off the mountain with almost bald tires in a mini van...but I digress.

I want to take a second for you and I to wonder if there is another profession in the world that has as immediate of an impact in every person's life (mainly during the winter) then a weather person>

I am friends with Demetrius Ivory (name drop) and I actually think he is great at what he does, but stop and think about how they impacted just my life today. Not just how they may have impacted yours??

1. They made me fight with my wife. Now it really does not take much for that to happen, but still, I only have one day more of vacation (time out...I think my dog's penis has frozen to the lamp pole...I'll be right back) (ok...a little hot water took care of that)

2. the undo stress of relaxing with my kids, and worrying about how I was going to drive those bald ass tires through the snow

3. What should have been a packed house at Mullen's for a great UFC pay per view (which costs us a TON more then it does if you buy it at your house) was very slow for us, thus costing us income.

So, what was the result??? Yes, it did snow at Hidden Valley. But, here in Pittsburgh...NOTHING! From South Hills to the North Shore....nothing! Now I am sure D would tell me that it DID snow somewhere in the viewing area, but in my world, outside of my afternoon at the mountain....NOTHING! Just Cold!

So....riddle me this Batman....what other job in the world...can you effect people's lives IMMEDIATELY like a weather person?

Then......if you are wrong...it doesn't matter.....why? Because the next day....you are predicting tomorrow's weather.....unless there is a blizzard, or a tornado, or something tragic, they don't ever talk about "what happened" only what will happen to mess with MY LIFE!!

Sorry D...I love you like a brother, and I tried to text you to find out the weather, but you did not get back to me....just need to vent! (I write this like I think he ever reads my blogs???)

In closing......ah crap....I got nothing....just sitting here in the middle of the night myself, writing a blog. Which if you think about it is no different then talking to yourself...which they put people away for!!!!
